President Tom Hanbach (r.) and Sportsmanship Chairman Bob Brooks (l.) present the 2016 Allegany County Umpires Sportsmanship Award to Bolivar-Richburg Head Coach Dustin Allen On Sunday, June 12th the Allegany County Umpires Association held their annual end of year dinner. At the dinner, the 2016 Sportsmanship Award was presented to Bolivar-Richburg Central School. On hand to receive the award was B-R Head Coach Dustin Allen.
During the season, our Umpires rate the Coaches, Players, and Spectators on their sportsmanship. The winning school is given a $50 scholarship from our chapter. It was a tight race for the top spot. In the closest balloting in history, Bolivar-Richburg edged out 2nd place Fillmore by just .001 point! Congratulations to Bolivar-Richburg for a great season on the field, and for being our 2016 Sportsmanship Award winner.
